In 1975 I came across this book while in college. The controversy over it's publication had been in the news and I heard there were chapters on Mexico. Leafing through it I scanned an appendix that revealed the identities of dozens CIA agents that the author had worked with while employed by the agency. Among them was my father's name. It confirmed to me for the first time that he worked for the CIA. Up until then it had never been mentioned. He had passed away four years earlier and my first reaction was relief that he didn't have to deal with the consequences of being exposed. After publishing INSIDE THE COMPANY Philip Agee was deemed a traitor. His passport was revoked and he never set foot in the US again. He died in Havana in 2008.
